Satin Plaster

Application Conditions
Ambient Temperature: +5°C through +30°C.
Avoid of application under the conditions of strong wind or direct sunlight.
Never apply on surfaces frozen, melting or likely to be exposed to frost hazard in 24 hours.
Satin plaster is a cement-based fill mortar and surface coating material with chemical additive.

Surface Preparation
Application surface should be sound and cleaned off dust, dirt and loose plaster films.
Application surface should be free of pores and holes and the concrete projections should be broken for smooth surface. If the surface is dry, it should be made damp slightly before application; the surface should be saturated with water against quick drying during application in case of surfaces exposed to harsh wind and direct sunlight.
Application
- Add clean water of 6-7 l to one 20-kg bag of No1 Satin Plaster.
- It should be mixed to get a homogenous and lump-free consistency by help of a low-speed hand mixer.
- Allow the mortar a resting time of 2-3 minutes before application and then mix it again for a short time. Satin plaster should be applied to the surface by using a steel trowel and the surface should be made smooth before setting. (It should be spread by steel trowel in granular size and homogenous thickness.) This step is important to get a detailed and homogenous surface texture and Take care that no unnecessary material remains on the surface.
- It may me applied up to a thickness of 5 mm with a single coat of 1-3mm.
- The prepared mixture should be consumed within 1 hour.
- You should proceed to sanding after 24 hours.
- You should not attempt to reuse the expired mortar by adding water or dry mixture.

Recommendations
- No foreign material (lime, cement, gypsum, etc.) should be added to the prepared mortar.
- After application, the surface should be made damp for 2-3 days.

- Hand-mixer, trowel, steel trowel, plastic towel, sandpaper, gauge trowel.
Shelf Life
- 1 year from the manufacturing date in a moisture-free and dry environment. Container should be tightly closed when it is not used.
