Decorative Plaster
Description
It is used for decorative coating on the internal and external wall plaster. After it is thoroughly dry, paint may be applied on it if desired.
Application Conditions
Ambient Temperature: +5°C through +30°C.
Avoid of application under the conditions of strong wind or direct sunlight.
Never apply on surfaces frozen, melting or likely to be exposed to frost hazard in 24 hours.
Decorative plaster is white, cement-based, trowel-applied, grain-textured, giving a decorative appearance for indoor and outdoor walls. Thanks to its grain texture, it ensures a homogenous and decorative appearance on the application surfaces. After it is thoroughly dry, paint may be applied on it if desired.
• Contributes to heat, acoustic and fire insulation.
• Prevents condensation (perspiraiton-mols-moisture).
• Light-weighted, reducing the structural load.
• High level of water vapor permeability.
• High resistance againts cracking.
• Safe due to its special addtives. Quick and easy to apply.
• Supports the budget economy as a result of low consumption.

Surface Preparation
Surface should be completely appropriate for bearing load, smoth, clean and free of mould oils and roughness.
Surface should be made rough by blasting and sanding operations at the places deemed necessary.
No application should be made to the surfaces where water or salt bleeding on the negative side.
Wood-based and light-weighted thermal insulating boards and gross concrete surfaces should be covered by gross concrete to prepare it for application. Subsequent plaster applications should be performed after 24-72 hours depending on atmosphere conditions.
Application
- Add clean water of about 6 – 6.5 l to one 25-kg bag of No1 Decorative Plaster of 25 kg.
- It should be mixed to get a homogenous and lump-free consistency by help of a trowel or low-speed hand mixer.
- Allow the mortar a resting time of 2-3 minutes before application and then mix it again for a short time. If the mixing operation will be performed manually, we recommend preparing the mixture by small lots.
- It should be spread by steel trowel in granular size and homogenous thickness.
- This step is important to get a detailed and homogenous surface texture.
- Take care that no unnecessary material remains on the surface.
- Interconnected surfaces should be covered in a single application.
- If it is inevitable to have a break, the surfaces should be divided into areas not exceeding 20 m2. Such division should be performed by help of self-adhesive paper bands and these self-adhesive bands should be carefully removed before the plaster gets dry.
- In case of application over large surfaces, early hours in the morning should be preferred

Recommendations
- Application surfaces should be protected against rain, water and frost until they get dry.
- Application should be performed in the temperature range of +5oC and +30oC and necessary precautions should be taken in case of applications to be performed when it is very hot and windy.
- Mortar applied to the wall should be formed before skin formation.
- No application should be performed on the wet and frozen surfaces.
- It should be applied with interlining at the junctures of the different materials (beams-wall joints, etc.)
Application Tools
- Hand-mixer, trowel, steel trowel, gauge trowel.
Shelf Life
- 1 year from the manufacturing date in a moisture-free and dry environment. Container should be tightly closed when it is not used.
